Formula error? What is wrong?

I have a number field "Buy In Cost", and a formula field "My Buy In Cost", which is = to the field "Buy In Cost". Here's my entry:

 Here's the formula results. The "Formula" field is me testing to try and figure why it shows $68 and not $100, which is what it should be.

      Desktop. I'm having extreme difficulties with one of my DBs not functioning correctly. I don't have any idea how to fix it. I'm close to abandoning it. What I will say is that all was fine up til the 3.16.4 update. I've gone back to an older back up of the DB, and that has issues too.
