Before and After values available in onUpdate events?

Is there something like this.value.before and this.value.after in the onChange events? For example, if building a ticketing system where the status changes from open to pending vs closed to pending, the events are very different i.e.  "Delayed" and "Re-opened" respectively, but the onUpdate event for the 'Status' field would only capture that the field has changed to pending, not that the initial state was open vs closed. Or is it available?
