Does anyone want to put a wager on which account makes the most posts before they are shut down? 馃ぃ

I do not know who will close first but I am sure that all will exceed 3000 posts.

Hi, l am wondering if you might be able to help. I spent quite a few hours today making changes and cleaning up my data base, along the way l saved and made back ups. It wasn't until later that l realised one of my customers had been deleted and vanished, so had to go back through back ups to track where the customer was present and restore.
How can l prevent this from happening again, as far as l know l did not delete customer or any customers only changed design components.
ls there a way of protecting my customer table, even by me, so this will not happen again.
    hope you can help

    regards

    MIchael

would have posted in normal section but as you have mentioned above there seems to be a major problem.

    Hi Michael,

You can change the "can delete" permissions at table level to a different role that you (and other users) are not part of (eg, "editor"). This way records cannot be deleted.

Not trying to be in any way 'possesive' about this thread, but in the apparent absence of any moderators, can I suggest we try to keep it on topic. This was started specifically to discuss the mass spamming of the forum that occurred recently (and maybe is still occuring) and hijacking it by asking general support questions is bad etiquette and inapproriate. Also usually less effective than asking in a more appropriate thread or starting a new one.
