Warning message for expiring TO DO

I would like to have a warning message when the "TO DO" are about to expire and when they are expired. So I tried to build this formula:

if days(Data, today()) > 0 and 'Stato TO DO' != 4 then
styled("SCADUTO", "red", "warn");
if days(Data, today()) < 0 and > 1 and 'Stato TO DO' != 4 then
styled("IN SCADENZA", "yellow")
end
end

Basically I would like a warning message to appear to me 1 day before the deadline and another message to appear to me the day after the deadline. Where am I wrong?
