Appointment function not working

Ever since the last iPhone update I am not able to create or edit more than 1 appointment at a time. When I create an appointment with a start and finish time I have to shut down and restart the app to edit or create another appointment. I reinstalled the app to no avail. It's been working fine for last 4 years. Any help is appreciated.
