Ninox editor (Mac version) auto changing symbols

I would like to use Ninox as the place to store all my HTML code snippets. But I've switched to Notion since Ninox keeps changing the  "  symbol to another variant - hence making the HTML snippets wrong - can I make some setup changes, or perhaps do something else?
