How do I input a csv table list into a multiple choice values table? I have a 100 choices and I don't want to type them all out.

I don’t believe this is possible, though would be very cool!

This is possible. Have a csv with ";" as field seperator. Give the choices commy separated.

I am trying to do this, I currently have an excel CSV file with states listed as

How do I import these options into a Choice field? Please explain in detail.

"drdlayton":  I think you mean a multiple choice FIELD, because, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a multiple choice "table".  (If I'm wrong about that, please tell me.  I want to know.)

Like "S Moore" above, I don't think it is possible.  On multiple choice dialog I don't see any way to import:

Many, many questions here asking for help to import odd data sets into Ninox.  My solution -- and it works every single time -- is Mac utility software, Keyboard Maestro.  It is not part of Ninox; need to buy separately.  From what I see on this forum, the very nice people at NX don't know about Keyboard Maestro yet, because if they did, they'd recommend it to solve about 1/3 of problems here.

Keyboard Maestro has some of the best documentation I've seen anywhere, including a vast Wiki with many examples, along with an excellent forum.  However, at first it looks overwhelming -- at least it was that way for me -- but once you start to understand Keyboard Maestro, you can use it do so much more with Ninox, like importing 100 items into a choice field, without retyping.

Further note:  Digging into the documentation for any software is usually a pain.  The best solution I've found is using Artificial Intelligence to search, sort, analyze and collate from the full set of user manual + Wiki + forum.  Neither Keyboard Maestro nor Ninox have anything like Artificial Intelligence, so I use Mac software utility, DevonAgent to ease the struggle of understanding the documentation.  I've written about DevonAgent elsewhere on this forum.

(I wish I could make a little video showing how Keyboard Maestro works like that with Ninox.  Many people would find that very helpful.  But I don't know how to make videos.)

I have a nationality field and have all nationality options in a CSV file - Birger, I would also like to know how I insert these into a choice field without having to add them in manually one by one. Thanks

That would be great - I just can't face having to manually enter 300 nationalities.

We already have the feature to import the values of a Choice field into it in our list of requested features. We hope to release it in one of our next versions.

Jorg, any idea when that feature is coming out? I (and I'm sure a few others) have the same issue with long lists of nations etc. that are a total chore to upload one-by-one. Does Birger's method of separating the values with ";" in the csv actually work?

I'm using Ninox for five days now and it seems this feature is still not available in June, 2021.

Anyway, no one needs to type long list of choices in Ninox. Just create a new table, import the data from a CSV file and then add a linked field to this table. Actually, this is better from a relational data model point of view. :-)
