It would be nice if the 'order by' worked in View. It is accepted as lefitimate, but has no effect on the outcome. I would suggest that it should take priority over user selections.…

Re: Sort two fields?
When sorting on 2 columns, for me, it is then most usefull to group the first sort. But once grouped the sort grouped items are sorted in assending order regardless of what the sort field is.
